We have reached our full capacity of 20 wagons for this years contest.
Each year a group of chuckwagon enthusiasts get
together on the banks of the Llano River in Llano, Texas and go back in time to an era when the west was settled.
These enthusiasts use traditional cooking methods
from that era, wear traditional dress and experience traditional
neighborly fun as they compete for prizes in a number of categories.
Where: Badu Park, Llano, Texas
When: October 15-17, 2010
Public Meal is served on October 16th.
Cost: $15.00 ea. for meal tickets. Meals served from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm only.
Tickets should be purchased in advance because
it is normally a sell-out. Tickets will go on sale
late summer when it is known what wagons will be cooking.

Llano River chuck wagon cook off is a chuck wagon cook off competition held in Llano, Texas on the banks of the Llano River each year during Llano, Texas' Hertitage Days - a celebration of the heritage of Llano, Texas and the surrounding Texas Hill Country.
Llano River Chuck Wagon Cook Off celebrates the chuck wagon cooks in history that were an essential part of cattle drives and hunting camps. Llano Texas is one of the historical towns of the Texas Hill Countr
EVENT SCHEDULE
Friday
Wagons are set up in the morning with judging in afternoon.
8pm - Dance at American Legion Hall featuring Hwy 16 Band
Saturday
The competing teams begin preparing some of the tastiest chuck wagon fare imagineable. Food is sent to the judges by 12:00. Public meal is served from 12:00 to 1:00.
Tracy Pitcox's Heart of Texas Music Festival, The Llano Country Opry,
Recording Artist Justin Trevino, CGMA Award Winner Jenny Taylor, K. R."Camp Cookie" Wood and our own Highway 16 Band, plus a few surprise guests.
This will go from about 10 A.M. until about 2 P. M.
Special entertainer Don Edwards in concert at the LanTex Theatre...Tickets available at the Llano Chamber of Commerce
Sunday
There will be a cowboy breakfast and
cowboy church with the public invited to a
donation breakfast. Food will be served
first come first served basis.
